This ten-week course will be about the four basics of the literary genres as well as about the three periods of the "modern era" in France. Selected works that fit to each era will then be treated. The course finishes with an exam that is close to the finals which includes either the analysis of a literary text (each genre can be chosen) or the self-production of a text (in shortened extent of course!)
